Bridal Veil Mountain Resort is an ambitious 11,500-acre Whistler-style resort proposed for the mountains just east of Chilliwack. From 2021 to 2025, we functioned as the communications team for the project as it navigated the provincial development application process with a focus on relationship-building with more than 20 local (Stó:lō) First Nations communities.
The project’s key stakeholders include several provincial ministries, the Province’s Mountain Resorts Branch, local MLAs and MPs, the Fraser Valley Regional District, City of Chilliwack, tourism organizations and mayors and councils throughout the Fraser Valley, recreation groups, area residents, the ski industry, environmental organizations and local businesses and residents.

Over the four years, we played a key role in developing and executing a public relations strategy that included a mix of government relations, media relations and engagement with local First Nations, , the public and key stakeholders.
Through BVMR’s website, brochures, social media, virtual public information sessions, billboards, advertising, industry conferences, media coverage, philanthropy, community event sponsorship and exhibits, and other outreach initiatives, awareness and approval of the project grew significantly among all audiences, with BVMR and independent polling showing significant support for BC next great all-season mountain resort.
