BC-India Global Business Forum 2013

Event:
BC-India Global Business Forum 2013

India’s fast-growing economy provides a wide range of opportunities for BC companies. Given our shared cultural ties to India and our having the closest North American ports and airports to Asia–Pacific, BC is in an ideal position to grow its trade with the world’s second-most populous nation.

To highlight the existing state of trade between BC and India, as well as the challenges and opportunities BC companies face as they look to expand their business to the Asian subcontinent, the Province of BC and The Vancouver Board of Trade called on Pace Group to help plan and execute a two-day reception and conference in 2013 called the BC-India Global Business Forum in Vancouver.
Pace Group was responsible for pre-planning and coordinating logistics such as: venue, AV, signage, décor, invitations, sponsorship coordination, speakers and moderators, reception, staffing and programs.

Speakers included Premier Christy Clark as well as high-profile business leaders from India such as Praveen Kadle, CEO of the multi-billion dollar Indian conglomerate Tata Group. In addition to garnering significant media coverage from BC’s business media, the forum attracted over 450 participants with about 10 per cent of attendees travelling to BC from India.
